This utility will repair ONLY Timeless Access databases.
The Timeless Access database repair utility is now installed with Timeless Time & Expense and Timeless Project Tracking. The repair utility can be run from the Tools | Database | Compact & Repair menu from Timeless Time & Expense or Timeless Project Tracking. It may also be run independently by running RepairTimeless3AccessDatabase.exe from the Timeless application directory.
On 32-bit versions of Windows, the repair utility can be found in:
\Program Files\MAG Softwrx, Inc\Timeless Time and Expense Windows 3.0
\Program Files\MAG Softwrx, Inc\Timeless Project Tracking Windows 3.0
On 64-bit versions of Windows, the repair utility can be found in:
\Program Files (x86)\MAG Softwrx, Inc\Timeless Time and Expense Windows 3.0
\Program Files (x86)\MAG Softwrx, Inc\Timeless Project Tracking Windows 3.0
To backup from the command line or to schedule backup use the parameters.
database=<full path to database to backup or repair> (Required)
backuppath=<full path of folder to store backups>
backupcount=99
Example: This command will backup the database to n:\backup keeing the 5 most recent backups where <path> is the location above.
<path>\Timeless Time and Expense Windows 3.0\RepairTimeless3AccessDatabase.exe database=N:\data\timeless.tmd3 backuppath=n:\backup backupcount=5
Because a connection to an Access database will prevent it from being properly repaired all workstations should have version 3.0.122 or later installed. Version 3.0.122 will disconnect from the database after 60 minutes of inactivity so that backup and repair can be scheduled nightly.
